Overview

The Vice President, People Business Partner & Employee Relations at Affirm leads the global PBP and ER functions, contributing to Affirm's mission of creating a high-performing and inclusive organization. This role requires taking a strategic approach to people and organizational decisions within a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategy, structure, and operating model for global PBP and ER functions.
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams through talent development and selective hiring.
• Establish independent, trusted relationships with XLT members as a strategic advisor.
• Understand Affirm's business and anticipate organizational and workforce needs.
• Collaborate on workforce strategy regarding talent deployment and operating models.
• Enhance the quality of leadership and talent decisions across the company.
• Guide leaders through significant organizational changes.
• Oversee Employee Relations strategy and ensure a consistent approach globally.
• Handle complex ER matters and translate data into actionable organizational insights.
• Partner with Legal on employment practices and risk management.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience, preferably in global technology organizations.
• Experience leading global PBP and ER functions and teams.
• Expertise in handling sensitive investigations and executive-level ER matters.
• Ability to build trust while partnering with C-suite executives.
• Proficient in organizational consulting and strategic workforce planning.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of complex business environments.
• Adept at predicting organizational risks and opportunities.
• Exceptional emotional intelligence and executive presence.
