Content Strategist, Product @Figma

Overview

Figma is seeking a Content Strategist focused on Product to join the Story Studio team. This role involves developing compelling narratives that showcase the craft, process, and impact of product design and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Create compelling content that showcases product design and development processes, methodologies, and thinking.
• Develop narratives around new product features that highlight the design decisions and user problems being solved.
• Interview designers, researchers, and product managers to capture authentic perspectives and translate complex design concepts into engaging stories.
• Contribute to thought leadership on design trends, tools, and methodologies.
• Create case studies that highlight innovative design and product work and workflows.
• Partner with product teams to document and share design processes.
• Maintain an authentic design voice across content platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate stories into the content strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience creating content with a focus on product design, product building, or technology.
• Strong portfolio of design-focused writing (articles, case studies, interviews).
• A deep understanding of design processes, terminology, culture, and tools, including Figma.
• Experience interviewing designers and technical stakeholders.
• Strong editorial judgment and distinctive writing voice.

Preferred qualifications include a background as a product designer or manager, an understanding of front-end development concepts, experience creating multimedia design content, and proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
