Axios is a modern media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. They are hiring a Politics Enterprise Editor to help set the agenda for political coverage and deliver distinctive, high-impact journalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate distinctive enterprise ideas and work with reporters to turn them into stories that break through.
• Work across the politics team and the newsroom to connect the dots between beats and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Requirements

• Reporting experience in a fast-paced news environment.
• Demonstrated experience landing big scoops and conceptualizing big ideas.
• Strong writing skills for online and newsletters.
• A belief in Smart Brevity as the core writing style of Axios.
• A commitment to building and nurturing a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Ability to command a stage and conduct live interviews.
• Experience working across teams to produce quality content.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
