Overview

Instacart's IT Operations team is responsible for keeping over 4,000 employees productive and connected. The Director role leads three core functions within IT Operations — IT Support, IT Logistics, and AV & Executive Support — and is key to evolving IT from reactive support to a proactive, innovation-led organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Operations across three functional teams through direct-report managers, maintaining a high-performing culture.
• Set the strategic vision and operating model for IT Operations, aligning team priorities with company objectives.
• Deploy next-generation IT support, utilizing AI-powered interfaces to improve user experience.
• Manage international IT logistics for hardware shipping and provisioning.
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership and other teams to improve IT service delivery and corporate security.
• Drive innovation by delivering at least one major initiative annually that addresses end-user needs.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading large multi-disciplinary IT operations teams in a mid-to-large tech company.
• Experience managing teams of 20+ people with a focus on hiring, developing, and retaining talent.
• Budget management experience with accountability for IT budgets of $5M or more.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and build a vision.
• Authentic leadership style with a track record of building trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
