Key Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for significant application networking initiatives, overseeing designs from proposal to general availability.
• Lead development efforts for ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at scale for Elastic Cloud.
• Manage multi-quarter, cross-organizational projects, ensuring successful delivery.
• Enhance operational quality of services and lead incident investigations.
• Mentor engineers and serve as a technical advisor to the wider engineering organization.
• Partner with product management and senior stakeholders on technical decisions.
• Identify and promote improvements to security, stability, and cost efficiency across the platform.

Requirements

• Experience in building software and setting technical direction for complex distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and project ownership from inception to completion.
• Operational experience with high-availability SaaS platforms.
• Understanding of using AI to enhance software development and system optimization.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and lead efforts with clear communication.
