Overview

1Password is seeking a Senior Developer Community Manager to lead their developer events and community strategy across the United States. This role involves creating engaging experiences for developers and building relationships that extend beyond events.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and manage the events strategy, including a calendar of conferences and meetups.
• Make informed decisions on conference and sponsorship investments and manage associated relationships and budgets.
• Plan and execute developer events, ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience for attendees.
• Build community engagement between events and facilitate ongoing connections among developers.
• Represent 1Password at events and engage with developers on-site.
• Connect events to the broader Developer Relations program.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to enhance relationship-building and track event impact.
• Document events through photos and videos to expand their reach.

Requirements

• Experience building developer events or communities within technology companies.
• Demonstrated ability to grow an engaged community.
• Strong event production skills and the ability to manage unexpected situations.
• Experience with sponsorships, vendor relations, and budget management.
• Excellent relationship and communication skills with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and travel as needed.
• Bonus points for existing relationships within the San Francisco or New York developer communities or experience in security and infrastructure.

Benefits

• Competitive annual salary between $133,000 and $186,000 USD.
