Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Security @AuthZed

Overview

This role is focused on site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and security at AuthZed, a fully remote company. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Security, you will influence and secure the production platform while ensuring scalable security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate AuthZed's production infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes and cloud operations.
• Advance infrastructure security across Kubernetes, cloud, networking, IAM, and encryption.
• Secure the software supply chain including CI/CD processes and vulnerability management.
• Develop automated security guardrails and policies.
• Improve security detection and response capabilities.
• Participate in the SRE on-call rotation and manage production incidents.
• Collaborate on architecture and contribute to security strategy.

Requirements

• Significant experience in production systems as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud solutions.
• Strong understanding of IAM, networking, TLS/PKI, encryption, and container security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, observability, and production incident response.
• Strong software engineering skills for solving operational challenges through automation.
• Ability to drive projects across engineering boundaries autonomously.
