Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Platform @Lattice

Overview

Lattice is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Infrastructure Platform team, focused on building reliable, scalable cloud services and internal platforms that support product engineers. This role requires extensive experience with AWS infrastructure and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS-based cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Create reusable internal platform capabilities to enhance engineering productivity.
• Work with AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), observability tools, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product engineering to develop scalable platform solutions.
• Analyze system interactions to improve reliability and performance.
• Define platform practices such as Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and incident response protocols.
• Lead technical initiatives ensuring problem definition through delivery.
• Mentor fellow engineers and participate in on-call incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep AWS experience in production environments.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and system design.
• Experience with internal platforms, developer tooling, or shared services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code, preferably Terraform.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD and observability metrics.
• Effective communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
