Overview

Figma is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Product to join their team focused on making design accessible through innovative AI solutions. This full-time role can be done remotely in the United States or from one of their US hubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of early-phase AI systems to enhance user experience and improve AI performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the future of AI at Figma.
• Break down open-ended AI problems into engineering strategies using machine learning and data analysis.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in data and AI.
• Contribute to team growth by improving the hiring process and recruiting AI talent.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, with at least 1 year in developing generative AI products.
• Proficiency in prototyping and developing successful 0→1 projects.
• Experience managing the lifecycle of early-phase AI development from ideation to production.
• Ability to connect modeling and analysis tasks with business value.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
